Friends and Sponsors of the Mixed Blessings Theatre Group

The Scarman Trust helped the Mixed Blessings Theatre Group get off the ground in 2007. They gave us a start up grant of £500 to get the play up and running and because of them we are now able to apply for match funding from other organisations.
We at the Mixed Blessings Theatre Group would like to thank them for their faith in us from the outset, without them there would be no Mixed Blessings Theatre Group.

We were lucky enough to get some extra funding from the Redemption Song Program which was run by the wonderful Jenni LEWIN-TURNER, she has been a great help to us and we would like to thank her for all her help.

A very BIG thanks to the Sussex Black Police Association (SBPA) who funded the buffet for the Read and Feast Event in October 2007, wihout them we would have been having bread and water!

What can I say about Sussex Police Cadets other that they have been absolutely wonderful, not only them but Sean LAMBOURNE the CMU Manager, and WPC Sandra LEADER Cadet Leader who let us borrow their Cadets for the reading in October 2007, of which two of those cadets have gone onto have parts in the dramatised version of the play for the Fringe Festival 2008.

We would like to thank the following organisations/people:

Allsorts Youth Project

GScene

Thanks to St James House TA

The rehearsals have done each wednesday evening at the St James House Community Room, St James House, High Street, Brighton, BN2 1RW.

We hope to keep the group going after the play has done its run at the 2008 Fringe Festival and will more than likely keep on the room!

Thanks also to Maggie KING for the use of her "Bingo" Money table for the play, and also Alan COUSINS in the Cyberden who often unlocks the community room for us each wednesday.
